Share Your Story

Boart Longyear wanted to launch a microsite to celebrate their 125th anniversary. This site would help gather and share employee stories.

They originally built the site in-house and with another freelancer. They brought us in to help clean it up and fix problems with it.

We looked at the time and cost to do a fix and realized the ROI just wasn’t there for a site that made them feel like they had settled for way less than what they wanted. We could implement a much better solution by presenting them with a WordPress template for storytelling.

They loved the idea and we installed the site, customized the template and migrated the content. From there they were able to take off with it and get everything they had originally wanted.

Project Highlights

  • Visually interesting storytelling.
  • Forms that rely on conditional formatting to display the next set of options depending on what was chosen in a particular field.
  • A page that watches for social media tagged with #blystory and displays it on the site and can be moderated.
  • Press room to keep assets and communications on brand and readily available.
