PRWUA WEBSITE
Provo River Water Users Association (PRWUA) operates and maintains the Deer Creek Division of the Provo River Project, a Bureau of Reclamation water project vital to residents, agriculture and commerce in Utah, Salt Lake, Summit, and Wasatch Counties. They were referred to us by Wilkinson Ferrari & Company (who we worked on the UDOT WEGO! website with).
We built a completely new website for PRWUA to help meet the needs of the different user groups that use the site: general public and other water agencies. Considering how each group will use the site and find information relative to them was of utmost importance. In addition to displaying contact information on all pages a Twitter stream and RSS feeds are integrated into the site, helping keep PRWUA connected with their users.
This site is also built with ongoing content management in mind. The client can interact with various parts of the site using different tools—twitter, word press and our own web-based content management solution so they can make edits anytime they need to. To help keep the site looking great a website documentation guide was put together outlining the use of colors, typefaces, styles, images and editing information.

PROJECT OVERVIEW
Project Highlights
- The PRWUA site was built to showcase many of the images that PRWUA has cultivated over the years. We used a full-scale background image on all pages and an image-zooming technique so when you click on a thumbnail you can see a larger view.
- The site is built for maximum client-side control of the content.
- The site has some built-in alert mechanisms that detect a certain twitter hash-tag and update the site to show that there is an issue that could effect residents.
- Users can navigate the site through traditional drop-down navigation or via the Map Overly which navigates in correlation to geographical location.
- The site includes real-time reporting from different water stations.
